Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal practice is centered around family law. She has a passion for it. She focuses her practice on divorce cases, alimony matters, marital property division, child custody battles and child support arrangements. She also handles post-divorce and enforcement matters such as step-parent adoptions and private party adoptions as and concerns regarding child welfare. Ashley has been a mediator appointed by the court since 2019. She assists parties in resolving their disputes without the necessity of litigation or court involvement. Ashley mediates private matters as well as court-appointed mediation for individuals who want to avoid court proceedings and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She then pursued her legal education through Western New England University School of Law. She graduated in 2013 and was placed among the top 10 students in her class. During her time at law school, Ashley served as a Note Editor for the esteemed Western New England Law Review, showcasing her commitment to legal research and scholarship.

Following the completion of her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship program, working with distinguished jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She had the privilege of being a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. Subsequently, in 2014 she returned to her hometown of Hagerstown to work as a clerk for the Honorable M. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. As an associate attorney. Her main focus was representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases concerning child welfare. Through her dedication, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who had suffered neglect or abuse at from their parents or caregivers. Her dedication to social justice spanned beyond the legal realm since she was actively an officer of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force, working diligently to increase awareness of human trafficking within the tri-state area.

In 2017, she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the fields of family law such as divorce child support, custody, and guardianships - aswell for estate planning, such as wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy and mediation.

Ashley founded Wilburn Law Office, LLC, 2023, with the commitment to provide a customized approach to each client's needs.
